Abarth 695 Maserati edition UK prices

The Abarth 695 Maserati edition has been priced at £32,000 in the UK, after it was unveiled at the Geneva motor show

Fiat’s super-luxurious Maserati edition 695 features the same 178bhp 1.4-litre turbo T-jet engine as the previous 695 ‘Tributo Ferrari’ special edition. After its reveal at the Geneva motor show, UK prices have been announced, with the fully loaded 500 coming in at £32,000 on the road – with production limited to just 499 models.

As Fiat 500s go, this one rather special, and it had Maserati’s fingerprints all over it. The colour, Pontevecchio Bordeaux, is taken straight from the Maserati paint shop, which is complemented by an all-new Sand Beige leather interior with embossed 695 logos in the headrests.

All the technical work was carried out by Abarth, including an electrically-operated manual Abarth Competizione gearbox (one of the biggest costs), a set of upgraded Brembo brake calipers with 305mm discs, new Koni dampers and intriguing ‘variable back-pressure’ exhaust system – which ‘improves engine performance and delivers an inspiring sound above 3000 rpm.’

The Maserati-inspired Neptune alloy wheels are a smaller 17-inch incarnation of the wheels seen on the Gran Turismo S. Other standard equipment includes a retractable soft-top roof, Maserati steering wheel and a set of matching Tramontano leather luggage cases.
